I am Kerstin. Very nice to get to know you, and thanks for visiting my website.
I'd like to share a little bit of my story. I was born in Germany, which is when my special story began. I believe we are all here on a unique path, to find our calling and destiny and go through special lessons in life. Sometimes we do not want to follow the path we must travel for various reasons: fear, free will, or expectations. I also believe that we all get signs once in a while to guide us. I got many signs throughout my life but did not listen.
As mentioned, I was born in Germany, but I left in my early twenties and moved to San Francisco to work with children and eventually to study. I received a degree in political science and one in international relations. But after almost fifteen years and a very bad illness, I returned to Germany. Shortly afterward, I found my way to the Netherlands, where I now live for over seventeen years. In the Netherlands, I worked as an international sales manager, a job that I really loved, including all the stress and traveling demands that came with it. But during the last few years, I felt that I wasn't following my calling and eventually, left an unhappy marriage, became very ill, and was faced with the dilemma that I no longer was physically capable of working in my career. That was the moment Reiki found me. First, it helped me deal with my illness, but soon afterward, I knew that I wanted to help others feel better as well. I received my Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 certificates from Gerrie Arnoldus, a long-time Reiki master who is not only connected to the NRS (Netherlands Reiki Stichting) but also to the International Reiki Alliances. I just wrote a book detailing this experience and my experiences giving Reiki to animals, which is scheduled for publication in mid-September. An article of mine was published in the fall magazine issue of one of the biggest Reiki organizations in the US.
With Reiki, a lot of my previously suppressed gifts are returning, including the knowledge that I'm able to hear, feel, and know certain things. It has been quite a story, and I know I have not reached the end yet. I am glad to take you along for the next stops in my journey.
Love and compassion,
Kerstin
